News:

  • June 25, 2010:
A 3 year Ph.D. studentship and a 3 year postdoctoral position at the University of Leeds (both supported by the EPSRC of UK) in the general area of model theory and applications to differential equations are available, starting date around the end of 2010 but negotiable. The positions have not yet been formally advertized. In the meantime contact Anand Pillay (pillay@maths.leeds.ac.uk) if you are interested or would like more information. Differential (and difference) Galois theory is a focus of the project.

One of several kick-off meetings for the new DFG priority program "Algorithmic and experimental methods in algebra, number theory and geometry" which will start this year is a summer school in Hannover (Aug 31-Sep 3 2010) with the title "Resolution of Singularities and Semistable Reduction"
  • May 6, 2009:
The evaluation of our second periodic reports is completed. They were received well: "... both scientific and training activities are very good. It is obvious that a lot of efforts have been put to achieve high quality results." We can expect the third payments soon.
