Rutger Noot (Strasbourg): On the conjugacy class of Frobenius for an abelian variety over a number field

Abstract:

Let A be an abelian variety over a number field and let G be its Mumford-Tate group (I will explain what that is). I will talk about some new results concerning the conjugacy class in G of a Frobenius element acting on the l-adic étale cohomology of A.
