Swinnerton-Dyer Summer School in Paris, July 2002.
Summary
The first two of these four one hour lectures are an introduction to
modular parametrizarions of elliptic curves over the rationals. The
remaining two talks are to explain a reasonably simple proof by Cornut
on non-triviality of Heegner points, using results on the conjecture
of André and Oort.
